Another miracle!!

I am super super super happy with Hermana Bennett!!! She is the best and this week was so wild we feel like we have been companions for forever, we get along super well.

So, this week I had to go in and out of the hospital to get some tests about the parasites and it was really annoying and I felt really bad about it. wasting time and all that. but we were in the clinic waiting and the lady was like you came too late the doctor isn’t going to talk to you, but I wanted to stay because I didn’t want to go back and all this stuff. and right when I was like this is such a waste of time let’s just go this lady comes up to us and says
Hermanas?? What ward are you two serving in??
Tiquipaya
TIQUIPAAYA?! I have a reference for you!!

And we were just like what?? Ok?? So, she gives us her brother’s name and says he just recently told me he wants to go to the church. so, she draws us this map, but she doesn’t know Tiquipaya at all so it was all backwards and stuff and we looked for this guy for like 2 days and we couldn’t find him. We would get clues though like we felt like we were getting closer and closer each day, but it was a bit frustrating.

Then one day we went to visit a lady and she wasn’t there so we were going to go visit someone else and I had this super overwhelming feeling to turn around. So, we did and we went in this giant circle and it was really embarrassing ha-ha but there was this young girl standing in the middle of the road so we contacted her. And she told us her aunt was a member and that she had recently been praying and wants to get closer to God. And then she let us follow her home and we talked to her mom and it was literally the reference we got in the clinic! It was a miracle. The map was so off we would have never found her house, but God put her and us in the right place at the right time. They are incredible!! Heavenly Father knows where His children are.

Other good news I am free of parasites!!

Love you all!

Another amazing experience is that I met Hermana Larsen, she is a brand-new missionary. She is the daughter of my mom's missionary companion!! Incredible!! and now we the daughters are serving in the same mission, same zone and we work together in exchanges.

I got my results back and I'm free of parasites!!

One more transfer.. .and last transfer

Hermana Christensen and Hermana Kincaid two of my companions finished their mission

Crazy weeeeek again. My companion and my other companion both finished their missions and my new companion is Hermana Bennett now! Im super excited. I also realized that this is my last transfers. Time just flew by.

This week we did a lot, I was with a member while my other companion was gone, it was fun she is an RM from Brazil and I learned a lot from her.
Also, amazing news Ximena this 15 year old girl we are teaching with her brother was baptized! We were a little hesitant to baptize her without her older brother but we went ahead and did it cause he didn't feel ready. It was kind of sad though because Ximena was really scared at first and she started to cry in the bathroom. She was upset her parents decided not to come, she felt really alone. But after she was baptized I ran to go meet her in the bathroom and she was just crying and I said How do you feel?! And she said I feel....I feel...and just started motioning towards her chest and said I feel so happy. It was so beautiful and then she gave this incredible testimony. She talked about how afraid she was to be baptized but knew it was the right thing to do and how God gives us strength to do hard things. She said I invited everyone here to be baptized so they can feel this strength and peace that I feel. it was so beautiful, probably one of the most spiritual baptismal services.

Then her brother told me, Hermana I am getting baptized before you leave. She is giving him such a good example.

I love this gospel so much because its so true it gives us strength thanks to Jesus Christ.

A visit to the hospital

President Montoya our Mission's President and Elder Montoya from the Seventy

Hi everyone:
Haha OK so this week was wild.
First off a general authority from the Seventy, Elder Montoya, decided to come do a tour of our mission. It was great except that I was sick since Monday with a fever that wouldn't go down. We had 3 conferences this week and in one of them I went to lay down in the back cause I was so bad. Wait it gets better. Elder Montoya picks on my comp and I to teach him a lesson. He says OK hermanas teach me about the atonement of Jesus Christ. HAHA and I was so sick..like dying. But it turned out great.!!
Turns out I have parasites and amebiasis from unwashed vegetables and water. I was in the clinic for about 3 days. It was kind of depressing and I was praying to know what I had to learn from this.experience. Heavenly Father really does know us and everything. He does is really really well planned. I learned so much while being sick and I learned about the love He has for us. The mission really isn't easy, but it is what brings us the most joy because just like Alma and the son's of Mosiah I feel like my trials are completely covered in the love of Christ. There is nothing in this world that the Atonement of Jesus Christ doesn't cover.

I am totally OK though now! I love you all.

Tiquipaya

Hi everyone:

 This week was super good!

We are seeing so much progress in our area barrio Tiquipaya. We are teaching this amazing family! They are so prepared to hear the gospel. The oldest daughter, Jhazmin, knows the ward secretary and when he saw her at church he was so surprised. And he came with us to the appointment we had and she is just so prepared. She accepted to be baptized and is just so ready. Jose, the member, when we got out of the cita he said I never would have thought she would be interested in this church. They go to med school together and have been close friends, but he never mentioned the gospel to her. Sometimes we really dont know who is ready.

Also, we were visiting this baptist family who were just super kind, but Lenardo, the dad, had a lot of doubts about Joseph Smith. So, in that moment we kneeled down to pray with him and ask about Joseph and we all kneeled and while he was praying I started praying too. I wanted to confirm if this was the true church and I felt the spirit so so strongly. It was such a beautiful feeling. When we got up and sat back down the room was so warm and lighter. Lenardo had tears in his eyes but he insisted that he didnt feel anything. I asked him if he had a true desire to know if the church was true and he said no. We ended up dropping him and it was sad because I know this is the best decision for his family, but I came out of that lesson more converted. I think thats my favorite part about mission work. We can be rejected so so many times, but we just come out winning each time cause we are more converted!

There is a new hermana in the mission her name is Hermana Lopez too! and I am her sister training leader and we are in the same district.

New area, new companion

Leaving Sucre was so so hard, but now I back in Cochabamba my new area is Tiquipaya and I am so incredibly happy! I love my new companion Hermana Cristensen, so so much we are like the same person. And we both have this strong desire to help our new area progress.

We have made a plan that we want to find a family of 3 and we want to find a father that is questioning religion and we made a really detailed plan on how we are going to find this family and we presented it to Heavenly Father and yesterday before the first session of conference we were just walking coming back to a cita and I saw this really young guy with a kid and I was like hey we have to contact him and we like ran across the street and started talking to him. super humble father and out of nowhere he was like yeah, I am really doubting the catholic church but I don't know where else to go.  We wanted to teach him SOOO BADLY but his wife wasn't home so we had to get another appointment and while we were getting an appointment his wife out of nowhere just waks up and we introduce ourselves and ask can we come in? and she was like yeah sure and it was such a miracle. It was so beautiful being able to explain that there is a church that blesses and changes lives. and that there is a perfect gospel!!

and they want to be baptized and they are GOLDEN. It was amazing.

Also I learned sooo much during conference!! Everyone was so focused on teaching about service and about how we should stop thinking about ourselves. I loved when sister Oscarson said that we should make decisions based off of service and not our own needs.

I love this gospel!!
