Miracles!!

Two really awesome miracles happened this week.

First was Tuesday, it was raining really hard and no one wanted to let us in. When the spirit prompted me to go in this street alley and pray. We prayed that we would be blessed upon our faith as we knocked on every door in this alley. The second to last door we knocked on we found a husband who was a little distant, he told us he didn't have any time and what not. But I felt just insist and we insisted so much for him to go get his wife until he finally did. He came out with his wife and she was washing clothes in the pouring rain and we insisted even more for her to let us help. After 5 minutes she let us in. It was funny, but then we taught them a lesson according to their needs. They wanted to learn about the 10 commandments but we talked about them and the Book of Mormon and they said they needed to be guided and needed to keep the commandments more. It was amazing

Then the other happened yesterday. We were walking all day and all our citas  (appointments) fell through and we didn't know where to go. Hna Gomez said lets go contact and I said ok yeah and a street popped in my head and we went straight there and knocked on the very first door. A little girl opened the door and I asked if her mom was home she said yeah and ran away and then after a while her mom and dad came out looking at us really weirdly and said hermanas?! and we were like hi? do you guys know about the church of jesus christ....and they were like YES WE ARE MEMBERS!! we are visiting from La Paz. We thought someone sent you guys. I want my son to be baptized and his wife. And they told us that they had been praying for missionaries to come help their family and then the wife showed up and she gave us a super yummy banana juice and said she wanted our help with her family because her mother in law always talked about the church and how happy it had made her. And WOww!!

Im learning so much that God loves me and trusts me someone who is so imperfect and weak to help Him with this work. Its amazing and humbling. Love you al!

Also the connection is super slow, I only have one picture today

NEW

Heey!! This week was a wild one, our house flooded hahahha which was super funny because our floor is white tile and we didnt notice for a really long time that our house was flooding and I thought my water bottle spilled. It was crazy.

My new companion is Hermana Gomez, she is from Argentina.  She is amazing and is an incredible missionary with a lot of determination and faith. I really love her. I'm trying my best to be the best trainer I can for her.
Sister Beltran was transferred

Trainers and trainees!!!

The biggest miracle of this week was when I felt impressed to visit Marisol and Jhonny. We knocked on the door and he was like I don't have time, I don't have time sorry sorry another day and I thought noooo we are going to lose him! And I had no idea what to do then the member we were with whispered hermana share a scripture and I thought what scripture in my head while Jhonny was talking, but then I actually listened to him and he had a lot of doubts about life after death and I shared a scripture and we talked for a while then we insisted on him leaving us with a prayer and he finally prayed and he just started crying. And we asked him what was on his mind and he said he was so worried for his family. And wow it was amazing to see him open up like that. Elder Falabella of the seventy told us to get to the hearts of the fathers, they will change the family. And it was incredible to be able to tell him that there is a way he can have full sureness that there is a plan from a loving Heavenly Father for his family.

Thanks for your prayers and support.

TRANSFERS WEEK!!!

Transfers were this week and I am so so so happy that I am staying in Alalay. Alalay is an area full of miracles. And President gave me the opportunity to train a new missionary here in Alalay. I am so flippiinnnng excited, but nervous! I don't know yet whom my new companion will be.

In the beginning of last month we had a family home evening with members and they invited their neighbors to join us. Their neighbors are a young couple with three kids and we talked about eternal families, they seemed really interested, but didnt make an appointment till a month later. Well we finally started visiting that family again and they are amazing. They have such a strong desire to be an eternal family. Their names are Mario and Ana. They recently moved back to Boliva from Brazil and Mario said that in Brazil a lot of missioanaries talked to them too and he feels like God is watching over him and his family. They are super golden and everytime we walk by their house, their kids yell from the roof HERMANAS and run down to hug us.

Also my companion taught me how to make Arepas which is something from Colombia which is super super good and easy to make.
This week the work was slow and Hna. Beltran and I realized that Satan has a tight grip on Alalay, but hard work is what allows us to see miracles!

Member missionary work!!

This week we went to the temple! Ahhh so amazing, I love love love love the temple.

But there were a lot of miracles this week. First, Janet and Amilcar came to church and they now have a baptism date for February 4th. Janet asked us how she could know if the church was true, she said. She has never felt the same way at other churches so she thinks it is true. She is amazing amazing amazing.

We also had an amazing family in the ward invite a family of 6 over for a family home evening. The family was so happy they said thank you for thinking about us and sharing something so important to you guys. We talked about the Plan of Salvation and really the family was so pleased that they thought of them. Member missionary work is so so effective and important.

We are contacting more with the Book of Mormon, we were standing on the street thinking about who we could visit at 8 pm and this young lady came up to us and we said hola and she just stared at us and we asked if we could read a scripture with her she said yeah yeah of course, but she couldnt let us in her house because she has a big dog that doesn't bite just jumps on people and my companion said don't worry my companion loves dogs. And she let us in her house hahahhahhaa. But it was amazing. We read Alma 7:11 with her and she said can you read me more? She was so intrigued by the BOM and learning more about Christ

Love you all!

Happy New Year!!

Hi everyone:

This week was a good one!

Janet, the lady we met in the apartment buidling last week, she came to the mission home on Monday! She came and watched gospel videos and then we went to the temple and took a lot of pictures. She has an 8 year old son named Amilcar and he keeps asking when he can get baptized. But Janet thinks we are really suspicious because we wash her clothes and help her with her work and we dont have first names hahaha.

But on Sunday New Years I felt so discouraged in Sacrament because no one was at church and Janet told us she was busy and wouldnt be able to come and I was starting to doubt a lot. When Janet just walked in and I was so surprised and happy then thirty seconds later a family of 3 walked in and then another investigator who has a baptismal date walked in and then another and it was a miracle!!!! Church started at 8 am on New Years and Raul, an investigator, was so tired but he came.

And the best part was when Janet was in gospel principles began to cry when the teacher asked her about how she felt knowing she had a celestial family. She cried and said she felt so alone because she is from La Paz and she only has her son. but she said With everything I am learning here I just feel so.....happy. And I dont feel alone anymore

and its so true. We never have to be alone again.

I love you all! Feliz año nuevo!
